Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services has an opening for a Mold Maintenance Technician in the Mold Shop. Technicians are responsible for the disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of Plastic Injection Tooling with a high level of accuracy. Other tasks include troubleshooting tooling problems, minor repairs, configuration changes, and the replacement of tooling components.

Responsibilities

* Keeping production molds in a ready to run state.

* Receiving information from the previous shift and ensuring a smooth transition.

* Troubleshooting and predicting mechanical and performance issues in our molds.

* Inspecting and analyzing critical components both old and new for defects.

* Identify and prioritize planned and unplanned work related to molds, focusing on the highest-priority tasks.

* Effectively communicate via email, radio, and comments on work orders to coordinate tasks and share critical information.

* Fabricate new hydraulic shafts and hoses as needed

* It is essential that this position be performed at the facility.

Requirements

* High school diploma or GED required

* Strong mechanical aptitude.

* Familiarity with reading blue prints and schematics

* Required to work a 12 hour shift. (days and nights as needed).

* Ability to stand for long periods of time

* Ability to become proficient in operating cranes and forklifts.

* Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical knowledge a plus.

* Effective communication (verbal and written)

* Strong attention to detail.

* Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 64 pounds.

Desired Qualifications

* Mold Making or Injection Mold processing experience or training

* CAD/CAM/CNC experience or training

* Machining and/or Mechanical experience

* Experience working with Mills and lathes

* Previous experience troubleshooting tooling problems and repairs.

* Minimum of (3) years of hands-on technical experience with a proven work history.

* Previous manufacturing, machine shop, injection molding or plastics experience.
