The Integration Team specializes in turnkey material handling solutions for the postal and parcel handling industry. The team works closely with customers to determine their needs and then design, engineer, manufacture, install, commission, train and support conveyance and sortation solutions for them. It is not a requirement that the candidate live in Maryland, as travel is required within the Continental United States.

Responsibilities:

  • The Field Installation Manager position will collaborate with various internal teams to assist to address business needs and solve problems.
  • The Field Installation Manager will be responsible to set team goals, KPIs, and measure individual goals to progress business initiatives forward.
  • The Field Installation Manager will report to the Installation Program Manager.
  • Supervise and support the installation field team for various programs and customers.
  • Help team members succeed in their roles and guide their professional development.
  • Encourage an environment of teamwork and convey the concepts of the Laitram Business Philosophy within the team.
  • Inspire and instill the highest of standards in our installations.
  • Facilitate and lead continuous improvement efforts that improves efficiency and quality of the team's work.
  • Collaborate with installation teams to improve products which will directly improve internal productivity and bring more value to our customers.
  • Work closely with our Production Control, Materials Management, Assembly, and Quality Teams to provide accurate, on-time, and complete solutions.
  • Guide and develop the team so they can focus on delivering customer value across programs.
  • Manage the Teams capacity, commitments, and tasks while communicating priorities to outside stakeholders.
  • Estimate installation durations and costs.
  • Review mechanical installation packages, project documents, plans and specifications to communicate downstream to site superintendents and their teams.
  • Liaison to electrical engineering teams to better understand onsite electrical installations.

Position Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in in field installation supervision of conveyors and sorters.
  • Must have experience managing mechanical and electrical technicians and crews.
  • Leadership capabilities. Ability to set/adopt a vision and then execute it with a team.
  • Outstanding people skills with ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments across various skill sets and time zones. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with engineering groups, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • A self-managed individual who is a team player with leadership qualities.
  • Be detailed oriented and organized.
  • Must have a willingness to learn.
  • Able to travel extensively (50% or more), work weekends, holidays and overtime when required.
  • Must have ability to lift 70 pounds and climb ladders.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office applications including but not limited to:
  • o Using Windows software
  • o Outlook/email
  • o Microsoft Word
  • o Microsoft Excel
  • o Prepare, organize and save documents
  • o Microsoft Teams

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Intralox considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training and key skills.

The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans.

Salary Range: $104,600 to $167,900
