Position Title: Kettle Worker Reports To: Corps Officer FLSA Status: Temporary; Non-Exempt SCOPE OF POSITION: Kettle Workers are important to a Salvation Army and culturally iconic part of the Christmas Tradition. They provide nostalgia, Christmas Cheer, and must greet and interact with the general public in a courteous and friendly manner. Kettle Workers are responsible for ringing bells at assigned locations as part of The Salvation Army's Christmas fundraising efforts. They are the first point of public contact in the Christmas fundraising and must exhibit the highest standards of customer service. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCITONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, run, jump, and twist on an intermittent and sometimes continuous basis. Ability to stand or sit (if medically necessary) on concrete for up to 8 hours. Must be able to easily withstand cold or freezing temperatures with proper clothing for up to 8 hours Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
