Practice Supervisor
Job Summary In collaboration with the Clinic Administrative Manager and the leadership team of General Urology, this Practice Supervisor will oversee the supervision of clerical and support staff in all General Urology Ambulatory Clinics. The Practice Supervisor will assist in determining objectives, managing programs, and assist in the development of strategies and policies, and for managing the operational, human resource, administrative and business functions. The Practice Supervisor must have the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and work well with staff, patients and providers in outpatient settings. The Practice Supervisor oversees the refinement of the front office responsibilities in the areas of Department Scheduler and the handling of the referral team, ensuring patients are accommodated with swift and easy access to our clinics. The Practice Supervisor will also oversee our support staff as well. The salary range for this position is $74,300 - $113,500 (Annual Rate). Department Description The Urology Faculty Practice is a high-volume specialty clinic that focuses on a variety of urological diagnoses. The Urology Clinic treats adults with a wide range urinary tract condition. These include common problems such as kidney and bladder stones, urinary tract infections, and urinary incontinence, and less common ones, such as obstructions of the urinary tract and painful bladder syndromes. In men, we provide treatment for benign conditions of the prostate gland, erectile dysfunction and male infertility. Our team is also nationally known for expert repair of traumatic injuries to the genitals and urinary tract.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience with one in lead/supervisory capacity
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience overseeing a clinic/practice operations and / or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Demonstrated supervisory and organizational skills to effectively supervise staff, and to manage the complex workflow and multiple priorities involved with clinic / center administration.
- Strong knowledge of practice operations, patient-scheduling systems, medical and insurance terminology, applicable information systems, patient service standards, and regulatory requirement and best practices.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly analyze problems, determine appropriate level of intervention, and develop and apply effective solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaborations with all levels of management and staff, consultants and outside agencies.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to train and mentor subordinates, to convey complex administrative, clinical, and technical information in a clear and concise manner, and to prepare and present a variety of reports, documentation, analyses, and project proposals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in related area and / or equivalent combination of experience / training.
- Strong knowledge of human resources management policies, with the ability to train, monitor, evaluate, and document human resources issues and performance, and to participate in decision-making on human resources matters.
- Strong knowledge of business software and specialized applications and data management systems used in clinic / center operations.
