POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Services within the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center, the Clinician for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston (BGCB) Telehealth Hubs will be responsible for the direct provision of behavioral health services through telemedicine to patients connecting from a Boys and Girls Club. The Community-Based Telehealth Hubs an IBH initiative that collaborates with community agencies to create spaces outside of BMC from which patients can connect to their behavioral health telehealth visits, with the goal of increasing access to behavioral health care by addressing various barriers such as privacy concerns and limited technological literacy. The clinician will serve as a member of the Community-Based Telehealth Hubs team and provide direct clinical services to patients across the lifespan, including: psychosocial assessments and diagnosis clarification; treatment planning; targeted, evidence-based treatment; risk assessments; communication with a wide range of social, governmental and legal agencies, courts, schools, clinics, hospitals, physicians and other sources in the overall care of the patient. The clinician will also collaborate with the team and BGCB, the partnering agency partnering agencies to formulate, plan, and implement outreach activities that actively connect club and adjacent community members to the telehealth hubs for individual behavioral health services.
