The Statler Hotel at Cornell University is delighted to announce a temporary opportunity for an midday backwaiter to join our Taverna Banfi Restaurant Team. With a passion for food and fine wine and old-world charm inspired by the Castello Banfi Wine Estate in Montalcino, Italy, Taverna Banfi is the signature restaurant of The Statler Hotel.

Back Waiter

As a member of the Statler Hotel's Food & Beverage Team, the primary responsibility is to provide superior service to our Taverna Banfi guests. Help all servers clear tables quickly and efficiently after guests have finished their meals. Clean and reset tables for any following guest groups. Communicate with host when tables are reset and ready for a new guest group. Bring cleared plates and silverware from server stations to DMO. Help servers bring out a la carte items for large tables.

Other Duties

Perform other duties, including: Help with all server side work as needed. Restock server stations with plates, napkins, silverware, and glassware.

Familiarize yourself with Cornell's COVID-19 workplace guidance as well as the university's COVID-19 services and information.
