Methode Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: MEI) is seeking a Product Development Engineer 3 to oversee and manage product development projectsfromconcept (quote) to prototypes and align for production. As a member of our Advanced Business Pursuit team, you will report to our Director, Advanced Engineering & Product Planning and utilize your expertise to support Methode's growth in the area of automotive EV Power & Sensor solutions. This is a customer-facing role where you will interact directly with customers to understand requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion

  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis

  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

  • Identify and resolve technical issues within the project

  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path

  • Identify and manage technical strategy for future business

  • Lead and manage advance technical development work

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a specialized field of engineering, specific to the position i.e. Electronics, Electrical.

  • 7+ years of industry experience with three years preferred in a similar role

  • Knowledge of quality concepts, including continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, etc.

  • Good working knowledge of the fabrication of metal and plastic parts, inspection, assembly and packaging techniques

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present complex concepts to small and large teams (technical presentations)

  • Demonstrated experience with High Voltage propulsion systems and components

  • Highly desired - Experience in injection molding, stamping, tooling, and/or manufacturing disciplines

  • Hands on experience in high voltage product design

  • Some experience or knowledge of regulatory requirements as they may apply to new product development, such as SAE, FMVSS, ECE, CCC, and ASTM requirements

  • Proven ability to overcome obstacles and get results

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
