THE NORTON HEALTHCARE EMERGENCY MEDICINE TEAM is recruiting board-certified or board-eligible emergency medicine physicians. The selected candidates will join more than 70 physicians and 45 advanced practice providers in the
emergency departments in our Kentucky adult-service hospitals. Norton Healthcare offers quality, comprehensive care to over 200,000 patients annually across Greater Louisville and throughout Kentucky. In 2026, an average of 18,500 visits a
month were made across these facilities. ABOUT THE POSITION

• For candidates board certified by American Board of Emergency Medicine/American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine or eligible for certification
• Collaborative work model with advanced practice provider team
• Locations covered: Norton Audubon Hospital, Norton Brownsboro Hospital, Norton Hospital, Norton West Louisville Hospital and Norton Women's & Children's Hospital
• Eight- to 10-hour shifts, flexibility to work full time or part time; day shift or nocturnist models available

• Job Responsibilities: The physician is responsible for obtaining recording a detailed medical history of each patient into the electronic medical record, including, but not limited to, chief complaint, present condition, individual history, and family history. Performing appropriate physical examination of each patient.; Analyzing reports and/or findings of tests and personal examinations in order to assess the medical condition of the patient, including diagnosing the patient injury or illness and formulating a prognosis.
