Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support at client sites for new and existing systems.
  • Lead field installation and commissioning of equipment.
  • Support mechanical and electrical subcontractors for installation of equipment at customer facilities.
  • Support & troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment and systems remotely (phone/remote sessions).
  • Available for periodic On-Call duties.
  • Develop and implement controls upgrades on existing systems.
  • Produce troubleshooting instructions, work instructions and training material.
  • Lead training, troubleshooting, and repair/adjustment of mechanical and electrical control systems.
  • Work with other groups for continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  • Work with Test Engineering Group and perform factory acceptance tests of finished equipment.
  • Provide design and assembly support for industrial conveyor equipment, as needed.
  • May be assigned small projects to complete independently.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
  • At least two (2) years of providing technical support at client sites, troubleshooting mechanical/electrical equipment, configure PLCs/HMIs, and related experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with a willingness to both design and perform field work.
  • Ability to understand and work from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Previous knowledge of commonly used controls engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to understand manufacturer data sheets and apply them in practice.
  • Ability to configure PLC's, HMI's, computers, networks, cameras, and variable frequency drives which are used to control sorters, conveyors, and other related equipment.
  • Ability to problem solve and be creative.
  • Proficient with remote working tools (Zoom, Chime, WebEx, Teams, TeamViewer or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with engineering groups, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • A self-managed individual who is a team player.
  • Ability to travel (20%-65%), work weekends, holidays and overtime when required.
  • Must have ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation Studio 5000.

Preferred Requirements:

  • (1) Experience with the following Developer Software:
  • SIEMENS TIA Portal
  • Beckhoff TWINCAT
  • Matlab and Matlab Simulink
  • (2) Experience with any of the following VFDs:
  • AB PowerFlex 525
  • Siemens G120
  • SEW Movimots
  • (3) Experience with any of the following HMIs platform:
  • Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation FT View Machine Edition
  • Siemens, WinCC
  • Schneider Electric Indusoft and Wonderware
  • GE Cimplicity
  • (4) Worked with the following Fieldbuses and communication protocols:
  • Devicenet and Ethernet/IP
  • Profibus and Profinet
  • CANOpen and EtherCAT
  • Ethernet TCP/IP
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and AutoDesk Inventor.
  • Familiar with Solidworks PDM or PTC Windchill PLM environments.
  • Familiar with ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP.
  • Deep understanding of NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, and UL508A Standards and regulations.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Intralox considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training and key skills. Therefore, we encourage all qualified applicants to apply regardless of their salary expectations.

The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans

Salary Range $68,000 to $187,600.
