We are seeking resumes for a Nurse (1 Opening) in our Wallula, WA facility.

Description of role:

Develops and administers the Occupational Health Program for PCA Wallula under the direction of the Employee Health & Safety Manager. This includes medical examinations, health care, medical surveillance, disability and leave management, health education, health and safety related training, administrative duties, and wellness program management.

Principle Accountabilities:

Manage spirometry and hearing conservation programs, including yearly audiometric testing of all employees.

Work with contract physician to provide medical services to employees.

Serve as company representative for Employee Assistance Program, ADA, FMLA, Workers Compensation, short term disability, alcohol and drug testing, and return-to-work programs.

Conducts new hire orientation in regards to the health services department. Provides regular first aid, CPR, and blood-borne pathogen training, including Hep B program management.

Manage health services for all employees and provide first aid & emergency services as needed.

Participate on safety teams, including HazVert, Emergency Response, etc.

Organizes, stocks, and maintains treatment room and first aid kits; maintains emergency treatment equipment.

Establishes and maintains medical record files relative to group and workers compensation insurance for all employees.

Monitors workers compensation, FMLA, and disability cases; acting as a liaison between company, employee, physician, and third party workers compensation and leave administrators to ensure satisfactory progress in patient's condition.

Recommends and develops programs for employee wellness, disease prevention and detection. Maintains cafeteria wellness board monthly with fresh topics.

Review, update, and maintain essential job function reports.

Responsible for monitoring, scheduling and communicating annual HazVert physicals, coordinating with occupational physician.

Utilize corporate task management program to track completion of critical activities.

Know and follow policies and procedures of the company, share information that would benefit other members of the team and find ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers.

Basic Qualifications:

Must be a certified nurse assistant or licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Washington and have a high school diploma or GED.

A minimum of 3 years occupational health experience required.

Must have experience with Workers Compensation, OSHA, & WISHA.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in related field.

Experience working in an industrial manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills required.

Must have the ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR, Council on Accreditation Occupational Hearing Conservation, and NIOSH spirometry certification.

Must be flexible with work hours.

Excellent time management skills required to effectively use time to accomplish required responsibilities.

Must have the ability to set high personal standards of performance and goals, while working under minimal supervision.

Ability to understand the physical demands of an industrial manufacturing facility and to objectively provide fact-based recommendations regarding fit-for-duty evaluations and case management.

Strong computer skills required including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Pay and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is from $60000 to $90000.

Employees (and their dependents) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life, and disability insurance coverage, subject to applicable waiting periods. Employees are automatically enrolled in PCA's 401k retirement plan at the time of hire. Employees are also eligible for up to 120 hours of vacation (prorated) and eleven (11) paid holidays per calendar year.
