Summary: The Paramedic provides primary care and/or advanced life support, including medical evaluation, treatment and stabilization of the critically ill and injured with the goal of reducing morbidity. Responsibilities: The Paramedic supports existing health services; provides integrated health services in partnership with other health professionals; extends access to health services delivery in underserved and general populations, including primary care, public health, disease management, prevention and wellness, mental health, and dental health; and performs other duties as required. Other information: Education, Licensure, Experience, and Other Requirements: * High school graduate or GED. * Current certification as a Paramedic with the NC Office of Emergency Medical Services. * 2 years of Paramedic experience is required. * Current BCLS certification. * ACLS certification is required within 1 year of hire and must be kept current. * CPI certification is required within 1 year of hire and must be kept current. * ASLS certification is required within 1 year of hire and must be kept current. * NIHSS certification.
