This opportunity is based on a Professional Driver career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates. Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED preferred. Valid Class A CDL required. Current DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT Medical Card. FMCSA Clearinghouse registration required. Must be at least 22 years of age. Experience Requirements Minimum 1 year of documented tractor-trailer driving experience within the last 3 years. Experience operating CDL-A tractors with dry van trailers. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, and transportation safety standards. Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or accidents within the past three years. Ability to pass background screening, employment verification, and drug testing. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a safety-sensitive environment. Physical Capabilities Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and move up to 50 lbs. Ability to enter and exit tractor trailers safely throughout the workday. Comfortable working independently on multi-day regional routes. Ability to perform limited freight handling when required. Must be able to meet all DOT physical and safety requirements. Job Duties Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer hauling dry van freight throughout regional service areas. Transport door components and building products while maintaining delivery schedules. Complete approximately 2,500 miles per week with 3-4 overnight layovers. Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and DOT-required vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate logs, trip records, and transportation paperwork. Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies. Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and transportation personnel. Ensure cargo is transported safely and deliveries are completed on time.
