Job Duties

• Set up, operate, and adjust media blasting equipment to clean and prepare precision parts according to work instructions.
• Check parts before and after blasting for surface quality, cleanliness, defects, or damage.
• Maintain blast equipment and media, document process steps and production results, and report problems to a supervisor.
• Assist with masking, manual cleaning, drying, coating, or other production steps when trained and assigned.
• Follow safety, chemical-handling, PPE, and housekeeping procedures.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or production training is beneficial.
• Additional technical education or relevant certifications are a plus.

Experience Requirements

• Ability to work safely in manufacturing and production environments.
• Ability to follow written work instructions, production procedures, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain productivity and consistent quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate basic production equipment when required.
• Dependable attendance, teamwork, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred.
• Experience operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, or meeting production goals is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement practices, or workplace safety procedures is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are well positioned for success as a Blast Technician.
• Experience with precision parts, parts cleaning, coating, quality inspection, chemical handling, or cleanroom procedures.
• Lean or Kaizen training is a plus.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
• Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• The role may involve cleanroom gowning and work around chemicals and manufacturing equipment.
