Overview
Microsoft's transition to quantum-safe cryptography is a company-wide, multi-year change spanning encryption in transit, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and encryption at rest. Success requires more than publishing standards or building foundational components. Microsoft needs a reliable way to measure adoption, expose gaps, assign accountability, and drive decisions across organizations that own their own roadmaps. Key Management is a critical product area in the transition. Quantum-safe outcomes depend on the readiness of key-management services, key hierarchies, Hardware Security Modules (HSM) hardware and firmware, and related compliance dependencies. As a Principal Product Manager for Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Adoption & Key Management, you will define what readiness means, what Microsoft measures, and how leaders act on the evidence. You will work closely with the Key Management team on its PQC product strategy and roadmap, while using that product work as a proving ground for the broader adoption model. Your job is to make the transition concrete: clear requirements, measurable progress, explicit owners, sequenced dependencies, and credible commitments to leadership, customers, and regulators. Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.
