Site Origination Analyst - Solar and BESS

Position Overview:

Ameresco currently has an opportunity for a Site Origination Analyst - Solar and BESS basedin Boston, MA to join the East PV Grid Tie team. This role is responsible for delivering land assets to be developed into Solar and/or BESS projects. The ideal candidate for this role is willing to be diligent in their project assessment and able to work cross-functionally with other departments during early-stage project efforts. The position will report to our Senior Manager of Site Origination and be based in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating with the Head of Origination to identify prospective sites through GIS and other siting platforms.
• Performing site diligence by reviewing environmental, utility infrastructure, buildable analysis, and other key siting.
• Working diligently to build trust and relationships with prospective landowners.
• Maintain and develop ongoing relationships with landowners throughout the development process.
• Coordinate with our engineering team to develop a layout and utility interconnection application.
• Coordinating with internal project developers for execution of key development milestones such as zoning/permit applications, environmental compliance, utility interconnection process and managing outside consultants.
• Negotiating land lease and purchase agreements, including negotiating necessary right of way's, easements and/or access roads needed for the prospective project.
• Prepare and present financial models analyzing project opportunities using economic criteria such as levered and unlevered investment returns, net present value, effective profit margins, etc.
• Understand the key value drivers of the financial proforma for solar and/or storage projects.
• Analyze and interpret market regulations, program economics and market drivers nationwide and provide input to Ameresco's business plan and development strategy in those markets.
• Taking an ownership role in assigned markets to be the market expert and "go to" person.
• Assist development team with pre-construction and early-stage Title process.
• Bereadyandwillingtoshare strategic thoughtsandbusinessdevelopment ideasin assignedmarkets during weekly Site Origination Meetings.
• Contribute towards specific assigned market goals set by the Head of Origination.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, sustainable business, or related field. Or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in land origination, renewable technology, interconnection, or similar experience.
• Experience using GIS platforms (Ander, Paces, etc.) and CRM tools (Salesforce).
• Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Additional Qualifications:

• Familiarity with site due diligence and negotiating agreements and contracts.
• Strong communication with internal and external teams.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $64,000 - $92,500 (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role.

Actual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. This range supports our commitment to pay transparency and compliance with applicable laws. Compensation may vary by work location, including remote arrangements.
