Senior Electrical Engineer (10+ Years) - Data Center / Mission Critical and Energy

Coffman Engineers is seeking aSeniorElectricalEngineerwith 10+ years of experiencewho is passionate about their craft, wants to work on a high-functioning team, and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth. Coffman Engineers is has a growing presence in the Mission Critical and Energy markets, we are looking for engineers with strong technical and communication skills capable of leading data center and energy project teams. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow with a multi-discipline engineering team, and be willing to have fun.

You would be providing our clients with electrical systems design including power, lighting, load calculations, electrical studies, and coordination with other disciplines. You will assist or lead in project planning, develop project schedules, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of professional work as part of a major project or for a total project of moderate scope. You will also supervise or coordinate the work of other professionals who assist in specific assignments.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Approximate Base Salary - $130,000 - $180,000 annually. Based on experience and qualifications. Some candidates may qualify for higher compensation considerations.
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
• Hybrid Work Schedule(subject to change)
• 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Power engineering or related field.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design.
• Knowledge and experience with the International Building Code (IBC), National Electrical Code, and US design standards.
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational, leadership, and time management skills.
• Experience working as part of a multi-discipline design team.
• Experience with electrical studies (preferably SKM, E-Tap, Easy Power).
• Experience with AutoCAD/REVIT.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading the electrical engineering of data center / mission critical projects, advanced manufacturing projects, or energy projects in the US.
• Experience project managing engineering teams.
• Experience with behind the meter medium voltage service and equipment.
• Experience with SKM and/or ETAP programs to perform fault current, coordination, and arc flash studies and calculations.
• Experience with thermal duct bank calculations.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Lead and manage electrical designs.
• Develop electrical engineering design deliverables such as drawings, specifications, calculations, studies, and reports.
• Prepare and reviewing electrical site plans, one-line diagrams, lighting and power plans, and equipment schedules.
• Conduct site visits to collect data and verify existing conditions.
• Coordinate with owners, clients, and design partners and collaborating with Revit and AutoCAD designers to communicate design updates.
• Perform and supervise the execution of both interior and exterior lighting design and calculate footcandle to ensure lighting design meets IESNA requirements.
• Participate in meetings with clients and provide engineering support through design and construction phases including responding to AHJ comments, shop drawing review, and responding to RFI's.
• Review of deliverables, including QA/QC through design and construction.
• Serve as a technical resource to internal staff and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.
