Production & Quality Manager

Job Summary:

Production & Quality Manager is to oversee daily plastic converting operations while owning and maintaining our ISO 13485 Quality Management System. This role is hands-on and highly visible, responsible for keeping production running smoothly, orders flowing accurately, and quality systems audit-ready.

This position reports directly to the President and plays a key role in operational execution and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Operations

• Schedule and manage daily production activities
• Receive, enter, and track customer orders
• Coordinate order fulfillment from production through shipment
• Oversee inventory levels and material availability
• Assist with machine maintenance and product changeovers
• Support invoicing and production-related administrative tasks

Quality & Compliance

• Own and manage the ISO 13485 Quality Management System
• Maintain procedures, records, and documentation
• Lead internal audits and support external audits
• Manage nonconformances, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure production activities comply with quality and regulatory requirements

Customer & Team Interaction

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding production and delivery
• Work closely with shop personnel to ensure schedules, quality, and expectations are met

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Experience managing or supporting an ISO-based Quality Management System (ISO 13485 strongly preferred)
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable, trustworthy, and self-directed
• Spanish-speaking is a significant plus

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Overtime as needed, typically Fridays
