Position Overview

Position Summary:
Under limited supervision, the data clerk will input, maintain, and ensure accuracy of data and documents using various software programs.


Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Input data into the system, including transfer transcript data, articulation data, and catalog data
  • Verify admissions records
  • Regular and predictable attendance required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent certificate and a minimum of six months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year of experience in higher education

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skill in the use of standard office equipment, including computer keyboard, calculator, and computer programs
  • Ability to work independently with strict attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community
  • Ability to understand and follow established procedures and regulations

Working Conditions

Physical Demand and Working Conditions:

Work is sedentary in nature and at times requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a consistent amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
