DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the processing and maintenance of vehicle and disability placard records while assisting customers with accurate information and resolutions. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:

  • Record Research: Review inquiries and documentation to verify records and determine correct actions
  • Phone Communication: Respond to calls from customers and partners and provide information on vehicle and placard matters
  • Discrepancy Handling: Investigate electronic messages and resolve issues by completing needed processing steps
  • Record Updates: Update and correct vehicle and disability placard records based on forms, statements and research
  • Priority Processing: Complete high priority record tasks received from customers, mail or leadership offices
  • Special Case Work: Review and process unique record situations such as duplicate VIN issues or secure documents

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
