Job Summary The Superintendent leads the day-to-day execution of medium to large-scale projects, overseeing field operations, staffing, safety, quality, scheduling, financial performance, and customer delivery. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for managing project teams, driving productivity, resolving operational and technical challenges, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage project teams, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and workforce planning. Oversee daily field operations, staffing, workload distribution, scheduling, and installation progress. Manage project budgets, labor, job costs, profitability, invoicing, and financial reporting. Serve as the primary on-site contact for customers, contractors, and project stakeholders. Ensure projects meet Company and customer expectations for safety, quality, schedule, productivity, and budget. Conduct jobsite walks, quality inspections, and progress reviews; identify and resolve issues before they impact delivery. Provide technical leadership and troubleshoot installation or operational challenges as needed. Review and maintain project documentation, including timesheets, work orders, material transfers, change orders, as-built drawings, and closeout packages. Monitor project resources, materials, tools, vehicles, and equipment to support efficient project execution. Identify and implement process improvements that increase productivity, quality, and overall project performance. Lead project meetings, operational meetings, and training sessions as required. Partner with internal teams to maintain strong safety, quality, and customer service standards. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Physical and Professional Requirements Self-motivated, professional, and able to lead with a positive, solutions-focused approach. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to develop and improve project processes, workflows, and best practices. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, reports, and quality documentation. Ability to learn, use, and train others on Company and customer project management systems. Ability to travel within the branch and/or regional territory as needed. Ability to work at heights, on ladders, in confined spaces, and across large job sites. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move materials or equipment weighing up to 75 pounds. Ability to distinguish colors, read small print, and recognize audible signals. Regular and reliable attendance is required. Education, Experience, and Skills 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, structured cabling, construction, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience as a Lead Communications Technician or in a similar field leadership role. 3+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to define project scope, develop estimates and work plans, and manage projects through completion and customer turnover. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project. Working knowledge of industry-standard trade tools, testing equipment, termination tools, and troubleshooting equipment. Must meet Company driving requirements.
