Title: Fiscal Specialist Executive Area: Academic Affairs College/School/MBU: College of Natural Sciences Department: Dean - Natural Sciences Work Location: Amherst Schedule:Full Time Work Arrangement:Hybrid Job Summary Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Fiscal Specialist manages the College of Natural Sciences (CNS) scholarship process and assists with additional financial, accounting, and operational support within CNS. This role also supports financial reconciliation and reporting activities associated with college operations. Essential Functions Manages the college's scholarship awarding process through Academic Works. Other Functions Work collaboratively and effectively to promote teamwork, equality and inclusiveness. Minimum Qualifications An associate's degree with four (4) years of finance, accounting, office administration, or related experience OR a bachelor's degree with two (2) years of finance, accounting, office administration, or related experience. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of University systems, policies, and procedures. Working Conditions Work is performed in a standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion. Work Schedule and Work Arrangement Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, which is defined by the University as an arrangement where an employee's work is regularly performed at a location other than the campus workspace for a portion of the week. As this position falls within the Professional Staff Union, it is subject to the terms and conditions of the Professional Staff Union collective bargaining agreement.
