Process Engineer, Megapack

The Process Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert and strategic leader for operational excellence initiatives across Tesla's manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for driving large-scale Lean Six Sigma deployments, leading complex cross-functional improvement programs, and developing CI capability across the organization The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing environments and a proven track record of delivering measurable business results through structured problem solving and waste elimination.

• Lead enterprise-level improvement events, Value Stream Mapping, and breakthrough initiatives across multiple production lines
• Define and drive the manufacturing site-wide strategy, develop/implement deployment roadmap, governance, KPIs, and portfolio of projects to deliver measurable results
• Serve as the Lean Six Sigma subject matter expert, influence site leadership, and benchmark best practices to elevate maturity
• Analyze end-to-end value streams to identify and eliminate the 8 wastes, own current- and future-state maps, and sustain gains
• Lead high-impact improvement projects, implement control plans, drive 5S+ / visual management, and ensure long-term sustainability through standard work and audits
• Design/deliver Lean Six Sigma training (Yellow/Green/Black Belt), mentor candidates, build a CI community of practice, and develop future talent

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field (Master's preferred) with 7+ years manufacturing/operations experience and 5+ years dedicated Lean Six Sigma experience in high-volume environments
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required (Master Black Belt strongly preferred) with deep expertise in Lean tools
• Proven track record of leading large-scale CI deployments
• Advanced proficiency in statistical tools (Minitab, JMP, Excel), strong executive communication/influencing skills, and experience leading teams in a matrixed organization
