About the Job

With guidance from the PI, the successful candidate will conduct independent research studies to determine immune mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of heart failure.

Duties:
70% - Planning and execution of studies to investigate the role of immune pathways in liver disease using techniques including genotyping, flow cytometry, cell culture, western blotting, and biochemical/molecular assays.
20% - Writing research articles and grant applications, conducting literature searches, hypothesis development, experimental design, and documenting results.
10% - Mentoring and supervising undergraduate and graduate students.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in a biological science and research experience

Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should be a critical thinker and detail-oriented, have strong work ethics, and excellent communication skills.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $63,480 annually
