Lead, Business Analysis

JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead, Business Analysis leads the analysis, design, and documentation of complex business and system solutions. This role serves as a senior liaison and subject matter resource across business and technology teams, applies advanced requirements and systems analysis practices, guides solution delivery and process improvement, resolves multifaceted issues, and mentors less experienced analysts without direct people-management authority.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead business and systems analysis for large, complex, and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring solutions address customer needs, strategic objectives, business processes, and technology constraints.

2. Lead and mentor Business and Systems Analysts in requirements elicitation, analysis, negotiation, documentation, technical writing, impact analysis, and solution delivery practices.

3. Partner with business sponsors, customers, Product Owners, architects, engineers, quality teams, consultants, and other stakeholders to define scope, outcomes, roadmaps, priorities, estimates, dependencies, and delivery approaches.

4. Translate business needs into detailed requirements, user stories, use cases, process and data flows, conceptual designs, system requirements, business rules, acceptance criteria, configurations, and other solution artifacts.

5. Analyze and reconcile complex information from multiple sources; identify gaps, downstream and cross-system impacts, risks, tradeoffs, and opportunities; distinguish requirements from proposed solutions and maintain stakeholder agreement.

6. Serve as a senior subject matter expert for assigned business processes, products, systems, integrations, or customer workflows and provide recommendations that align workflow, technology, and industry best practices.

7. Lead solution walkthroughs and handoffs and guide architecture, development, unit testing, quality engineering, UAT, implementation, deployment, warranty support, and transition to operations.

8. Assess product capabilities, system sustainability, stability, and process effectiveness; research complex issues, perform data or code analysis as appropriate, and recommend cost-effective, customer-focused improvements.

9. Manage analysis activities across multiple priorities and initiatives; calculate and monitor risks, develop contingency plans, facilitate decisions, and communicate status and recommendations to customers and management.

10. Influence product, customer, and delivery roadmaps; contribute to long-term planning, innovation, business cases, and the identification of future work needed to position teams and customers for success.

11. Establish and advance business analysis and systems analysis standards, methodologies, templates, training, onboarding, and Communities of Practice; drive consensus and continuous improvement in the analysis discipline.

12. Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, lead meetings and working sessions, manage expectations, and communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

13. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments while demonstrating the Company's Core Competencies and values.

14. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements. Due to potential exposure to PHI-sensitive data, this position may be considered a High-Risk Role based on assignment.

JOB SCOPE:

This role works under minimal direction with substantial autonomy and strategic influence. The incumbent applies expert business analysis, systems analysis, product, delivery, and consulting knowledge to large, varied, and complex initiatives that may not be clearly defined. The role leads through influence, serves as a primary liaison and subject matter expert, provides direction and mentorship to analysts and project teams, and independently evaluates risks, options, and outcomes. Decisions and recommendations affect product and customer roadmaps, requirements quality, solution architecture, delivery, operational stability, adoption, customer experience, and business value. This is an individual-contributor role that provides functional leadership without direct people-management authority.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field preferred; or four years of equivalent related experience. Graduate degree is a plus.

* At least seven years of progressive business analysis, systems analysis, product delivery, consulting, or comparable technology experience supporting complex enterprise solutions.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $89,254- 125,844. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
