DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role focuses on reviewing motor vehicle and driver licensing applications and assisting customers with accurate processing of required forms and payments. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Application Review: Examine motor vehicle and driver licensing applications for accuracy and completeness
- Customer Assistance: Provide guidance in person or over the phone and answer customer questions
- Payment Handling: Process cash, check, money order, credit, and debit card transactions
- Record Updates: Enter changes to vehicle or driver records and manage required documentation
- Supply Monitoring: Track office supply levels and report when items need replenishment
- Staff Support: Assist in training new employees and support daily office operations

- Full-time employment, 80 hour bi-weekly
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime available after training is completed, mandatory overtime may apply. Reporting when a full day and /or partial-day office closing is authorized may be required.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
