Communications consultants are seasoned, subject matter experts who apply specialized communications expertise and knowledge, typically as an individual contributor, in matters that require special interpretation. Incumbents use their discipline-specific and/or institutional knowledge to perform department activities. They participate in and/or lead critical, high-risk, complex initiatives, programs and projects, have frequent contact with internal and external business partners, facilitate/ influence strategic thinking and direction and influence peers and leaders across the organization to act on issues that have organization-wide impact. Incumbents may directly manage a small number of employees (two or less); the primary function of the role is consulting.

Important to Know

  • Candidates will be asked to provide a writing sample demonstrating communication and analytical capabilities.

  • Occasional travel may be required to support provider meetings, network initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and team collaboration.

  • Preference for candidates residing in the state of Florida to support in-person collaboration and regional network presence.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Provides consultative support to organization management within context of overall strategic objectives and broad policy; typically supports senior management.
  • Synthesizes collected data/information and advises clients on options, risks, cost versus benefits and impacts on client's business processes, systems, employees, etc.
  • Maintains frequent contact with internal and external business partners including network providers, payers, clinical leadership, to obtain and share information for influencing decisions, selling concepts, and providing advice that impacts network objectives and business outcomes.
  • Understands strategic direction of business unit and the organization.
  • Acts as communications lead for department.
  • May develop communication messaging and presentations for presentation throughout the organization.
  • Acts as spokesperson for leadership, as appropriate.
  • May oversee reporting, monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • May lead, coach and develop a small staff.

What We Require

  • 6+ years related work experience.
  • Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience
  • This position may require occasional travel to support business operations, including in office meeting, collaborations, events, and other work related activities.

What We Prefer

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to develop strategic communications, present recommendations, and influence stakeholder decisions across the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience as a consultant advising leadership on provider communication strategies and performance.
  • Ability to maintain consistency in tone, style, and messaging across multiple documents and channels.
  • Meticulous approach to reviewing work - both your own and others' - to ensure accuracy and clarity, with excellent proofreading and editing skills.
  • Commitment to quality standards to prevent mistakes and strengthen organizational credibility and professionalism.
  • Experience in network operations, provider relations, healthcare networks, or relative provider facing functions

General Physical Demands

  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.

  • Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $92,100 - $115,100

Annualized Salary Range: $92,100 - $149,600

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
