Position Summary
Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) is seeking a RamCard Coordinator to support campus through services in the University's One Card Office.
The RamCard Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation and administration of the University's campus card program. Reporting to The Director of Auxiliary Services, this position oversees the issuance and management of University ID cards, maintains the campus card transaction system, and provides support for card access, meal plans, declining balance accounts, and other integrated campus services. The Coordinator collaborates with campus departments and vendors to ensure accurate system functionality, excellent customer service, and secure, efficient operations while supporting the University's commitment to student success.

Responsibilities of the RamCard Coordinator include:



  • Effectively communicates with students, faculty, staff, parents, and visitors regarding RamCard services, policies, and procedures.
  • Listens attentively to customer concerns, answers questions accurately, and resolves routine issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintains professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive student information.
  • Works collaboratively with team members and campus partners to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Communicates clearly in person, over the phone, and through email while maintaining a positive and welcoming demeanor.
  • Maintains a high level of accuracy when creating, updating, and verifying RamCard records and student account information.
  • Accurately processes card production, replacements, access permissions, meal plan updates, and account transactions.
  • Identifies and corrects discrepancies in student records while maintaining data integrity.
  • Assists customers with troubleshooting card access, account, meal plan, and transaction issues while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
  • Identifies problems, researches available resources, and implements appropriate solutions while adhering to University policies and procedures.
  • Escalates complex issues to the appropriate supervisor or department when necessary, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve office processes, enhance customer service, and increase operational efficiency.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit
Business & Auxiliary Services supports the Winston-Salem State University community by providing innovative, customer-focused auxiliary services. The unit includes Dining Services, RamCard, Parking & Transportation, Mail Services, the Bookstore, Ticket Office, Printing Services, and Conferences & Institutes which enhance campus life, promote operational efficiency, and support student success.
