Function:

Maintenance Job Summary:This position is accountable for supervision of the CF Industries Planning department. The Planning Supervisor will provide work direction and technical assistance for routine, shutdown and project activities of the maintenance department. They will work closely with other departments to ensure safe and efficient execution of daily maintenance activities. The position has the additional responsibility of contributing to the overall cost effectiveness and efficiency of work. This position is a member of the maintenance leadership team and will be expected to lead safety meetings with CF team members and contractors while exemplifying CF safety culture and core values. Job Description:

They will work closely with other departments to ensure safe and efficient execution of daily maintenance activities. The position has the additional responsibility of contributing to the overall cost effectiveness and efficiency of work.   • Advocates for safety by taking a proactive approach.
  • Applies CF core values and supports safety related processes.
  • Leads turnaround planning/scheduling process ensuring that all milestones and KPI's are achieved to ensure a safe, on-time, and on-budget turnaround.
  • Participates in Job Safety Analyses and the development of safety action plans.
  • Assigns and directs work activities to meet schedule requirements and operational issues.
  • Ensures that all maintenance work is performed in compliance with company standards and all applicable regulatory agencies' requirements.
  • Creates a Daily/Weekly reporting on schedule compliance and any cost initiatives.
  • Develops KPI's and report status for all maintenance/turnaround work.
  • Creates development plans for each team member and track progress throughout each year and provides applicable feedback.
  • Addresses and resolves personnel issues and conflicts, if needed.
  • Analyzes problems, evaluates alternatives, and takes action.
  • Trains, coaches, and develops employees in order to maximize their performance
  • Works with other departments for continuous maintenance process improvement.
  • Ensures that planned work orders are technically completed and work packages developed before they are scheduled in our CMMS.
  • Exercises direct supervision over Planners while monitoring performance to ensure that Routine, PM's, and Emergent repair follow-ups are planned and scheduled as required, with all the necessary resources, parts and safety criteria identified.
  • Provides technical and problem-solving assistance to the various sections of the maintenance organization.
  • Be able to handle several projects and support activities simultaneously. Supports site EHS activities through compliance with all environmental, health and safety policies/procedures, and through active participation in EHS programs and initiatives.
  • Ability to provide direction to and work with others to achieve the desired outcomes including the ability to promote and develop employees; even cross functionally.
  • Prepares required weekly/monthly reports and maintains records relative to the department.
  • Assists management in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Becomes familiar with the plant design specifications, drawings, and files in order to ensure accurate, safe, and practical results.
  • May perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum H.S. diploma or GED
  • Routine/PM Planning/Scheduling
  • Turnaround Planning/Scheduling
  • Capital Project Planning/Scheduling
  • Proficient in PC software applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and able to utilize computerized maintenance management software.
  • Excellent understanding of asset and project management
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
  • Ability to perform responsibilities with limited supervision and be able to work hours dictated by the condition of the plant
  • Safety conscious, self-motivated, proficient communication skills, exceptional work ethic and strong attention to detail
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen

Preferred Job Skills:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Technology, construction management, or related technical discipline is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to develop working relationships with maintenance and operations personnel in a team environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach focused on action
  • Demonstrated excellent leadership skills, communication, written and verbal skills, ability in effective supervision and work organization
  • Previous supervisory, team leadership, and/or turnaround planning experience is preferred.
  • Works in a safe manner that promotes EHS and Reliability goals of the plant and the company.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Good knowledge of asset maintenance as well as maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Shows initiative and results oriented.
  • Ability to provide directions to and work with others to achieve the desired outcomes
