Our Values Respect | Belonging | Accountability | Transparency Department Office of General CounselJob Summary Under minimal supervision, is responsible for supporting the Legal Department and the organization in representing Denver Health's legal interests and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law. In alignment with Denver Health's overall strategy and mission, provides hands-on, business-focused counsel and representation to the organization requiring specialized legal knowledge with respect to healthcare contracts and any related matters. Must have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of legal, compliance, operational and risk matters as required to craft appropriate agreements for Denver Health, including expertise in one or more specialized fields of legal practice, such as real estate, construction, IT, reimbursement, or managed care. This position reports directly to the General Counsel or Deputy General Counsel and has varying responsibility working with senior leadership and departmental leaders throughout the organization and serves as the primary legal advisor to designated Denver Health clinical or operational units, departments, or functions. This role requires individual to work on-site, full-time 4+ days per week. The environment at Denver Health can be fluid. Accordingly, employees may be asked to perform duties that are outside the work and duties listed. Regular, reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position since employee must be readily available and accessible to answer questions, educate and collaborate. This position also may require you to work standard hours/shifts, as well as flexible hours before and after standard hours/shifts, and to work in excess of 40 hours in a work week.
