Overview

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll collaborate with interdisciplinary partners, coordinate across engineering teams, and help drive successful project execution. Your day-to-day work may include developing design studies, preparing engineering calculations & analysis, attending project meetings, conducting field walkdowns, and mentoring junior engineers. You'll apply your expertise to challenging and meaningful projects while contributing to technical excellence and innovation.

  • Collaborate Across Disciplines:Act as the bridge between engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration and coordination across all project disciplines
  • Shape Project Success:Develop innovative design studies, define project scopes, and create accurate engineering estimates to drive project excellence
  • Master Procurement & Installation:Draft detailed specifications for electrical equipment, evaluate technical bids, and select top-tier solutions to meet project needs
  • Perform Precision Calculations:Execute essential electrical calculations that form the foundation of successful designs and installations
  • Think Creatively:Bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to solve complex technical challenges and push projects forward
  • Be Hands-On in the Field:Travel to project sites, conduct walkdowns, oversee installations, and support start-up activities to ensure quality and compliance
  • Lead and Inspire Teams:Foster a positive, goal-oriented environment with your motivational leadership style, empowering teams to achieve success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of electrical systems(high voltage, switchgear, motor controls)
  • Must have experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm
  • Writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Due to Federal Contract Requirements, US Citizenship is required

Compensation Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $185,000.00 /Yr.
