Job Duties: Associate, Banker - Industry/Country Coverage with Goldman Sachs & Co LLC in New York, New York. Create and analyze complex financial models and perform scenario analyses to examine the effects of proposed client alternatives. Use mathematical models and statistical techniques to analyze data and prepare reports, charts and tables summarizing analyses and research results. Work with industry coverage group and interact and coordinate with both clients and other groups within the Firm. Organize and prepare presentations that explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Day-to-day interaction with senior and junior bankers related to the preparation of financial exhibits, marketing documents and information memoranda for clients. Interact with client executives, working with other bankers to help guide clients in their financial decisions. Develop and strengthen client relationships by participating in our advisory teams and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestitures/carve outs, and capital raises, typically for middle market TMT companies. Coordinate with teams across divisions to prepare client marketing or sales memoranda. Job Requirements: Master's Degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Management Science, Business Administration, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Management Science, Business Administration, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior employment must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master's) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor's) with: facilitating communication and collaboration with internal and external parties, including clients and key decision-makers, to gather inputs, inform recommendations, and support working sessions; executing multiple client workstreams and projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery, coordinating tasks and prioritizing conflicting deadlines; conducting in-depth analysis of financial and non-financial data, including market trends, KPIs, and various scenarios, to evaluate strategic alternatives and decisions; developing, validating, and utilizing complex financial models with quantitative methods for financial analysis, including operating models and scenario analyses, to support business strategy and corporate finance recommendations; reviewing, analyzing, and synthesizing complex financial and non-financial data, including market commentary and sector research, to prepare comprehensive presentations and summarize findings and recommendations; and leveraging industry-standard platforms, such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Dealogic, and Thomson Research Portal, alongside Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), for data analysis, modeling, and presentation development. Domestic travel required approx. 5% of time to visit clients for meetings, presentations, etc. All travel costs covered by Firm.
