The Haas Undergraduate Program Office (UGPO) is part of the larger Haas Undergraduate Programs. There are four distinct undergraduate programs within the Haas School of Business: Spieker Undergraduate Business Program, Global Management Program, Robinson Life Sciences, Business, and Entrepreneurship Program (LSBE), and Management, Entrepreneurship, and Technology Program (M.E.T.). The Undergraduate Program Office has three distinct teams: Admissions, Academics, and Student Affairs who support the undergraduate business students. The team created a set of values together rooted in collaboration and support for one another. Diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging principles are valued and intentionally integrated in the strategic plan. Application Review Date The First Review Date for this job is August 25, 2026. Responsibilities The Intake Advisor serves as the first point of contact for students requesting Haas Undergraduate Program services. The Intake Advisor oversees Haas Undergraduate in-person and virtual front desks and Haas email advising services. Additionally, Intake Advisors clarify general College and major policies and procedures, provide guidance on petition and form submissions, and help students assess whether to make an appointment with a Haas College Advisor or other resource on campus. Additionally, the Intake Advisor manages the Haas Undergraduate Program Office front reception area, which includes print and electronic student communications. They also support the Haas Undergraduate Program with daily operations by ordering supplies, reviewing invoices, and tracking reimbursements when needed. The role requires a broad understanding of administrative functions and technical problems involved in a fast-paced, academic advising office at a large public university. GENERAL ADVISING - 35%
Applies professional concepts to independently provide prescriptive advice and assistance to students on academic and degree progress and major requirements for the department / school / college. - 10% Identifies student needs for programs and services. - 10% Pull and analyze data to support strategic initiatives with campus systems such as CalCentral, Campus Solutions, BOA or Course Scheduling. - 10% Coordinates daily operational management with room reservations, supply orders, listserv maintenance, the sign in sheet and tasks related to overall office support. - 15% Communicates and exchanges information with other units of the organization and makes referrals to help students with their academic program (e.g., health service, disabled students program, Colleges / Schools, transfer center, academic departments, graduate division, etc.). - 10% Professional Learning and Growth. Actively contributes to a team environment that fosters and promotes a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging (DEIJB) within the unit and at Haas. Salary & Benefits This is a 100% full-time (40 hrs a week) non-exempt career position, which is paid biweekly at an hourly rate and is eligible for UC Benefits.
