Position Type: Full-Time, M-F 8:00a.m.-4:30p.m. Location: Lenoir NC, Central Warehouse ESSENTIAL DUTIES Work with domestic transportation providers on a daily basis to execute the required shipment plan. Update and maintain Transportation Reports. Review current transport processes and when necessary, suggest process improvements. Resolve any arising problems or complaints Provide quotes and handle booking requests for all transactional customers. Monitoring and tracking transportation shipments from inception to final delivery. Maintaining relationships established with carriers to ensure capacity and monitor service standards. Communicating effectively with customers, carriers, and teammates. Using professional judgment to assess the impact of tactical decisions/actions on the customer. Balancing the customers' needs with our company's profitability. Developing standard operating procedures based on the direction from manager. Organizational Relationships: Bernhardt Transportation Division Required Skills: Excellent Communication skills Ability to prioritize Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Programs Proficiency in Adobe Understanding of Financial and Operational Process Flows Teamwork and participation Ability to delegate tasks accordingly.
