Overview NaphCare is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our healthcare team at the Washoe County Jail in Reno, Nevada. This part-time, onsite opportunity averages just 10 hours per week and is ideal for a psychiatric provider seeking a flexible clinical role that can complement an existing practice or professional schedule. With compensation of $76.00-$80.00 per hour, this position offers the opportunity to provide meaningful psychiatric care without the commitment of a traditional full-time schedule. As a PMHNP, you will provide psychiatric assessments, medication management, and ongoing treatment for a diverse patient population with complex behavioral health needs. You'll collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team while maintaining clinical autonomy in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care. Responsibilities As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you'll provide comprehensive behavioral healthcare while supporting patients with mental health and substance use disorders. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management.
Qualifications Education / Licensure / Certification * Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing Preferred Experience & Skills * Behavioral health experience with complex patient populations Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
