Job Responsibilities & Requirements POSITION SUMMARY Demonstrate proficiency with the use of automatic equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes. Demonstrate ability to set, change, trouble shoot, remove install die sections and clean stamping dies. Proactively apply knowledge with improvements to equipment and processes. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & ABILITIES Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues. Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Comprehend job training and safety instructions. Computer Skills: Some PC skills helpful, but not required. Other Skills and Abilities: Read a tape measure. Other Qualifications: Previous forklift experience preferred but not required. Physical Demands: This is a physical position that requires the individual to be able to: stand, walk and carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull, climb, walk up stairs and crouch. This position requires the individual to be able to communicate through speaking and hearing. Other Physical Requirements Vision (Near, Distance, Peripheral, Depth Perception), Sense of Sound, Smell, Taste, Touch Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the operators may be exposed to the following: moving mechanical parts, moving product parts, vibration, moving forklifts, coolants, noise levels requiring hearing protection.
