Principal DevOps Engineer Boston, MA \| Hybrid \|Onshape Onshape, a PTC SaaS business, is redefining how professional engineers design, collaborate and manage product data in the cloud. Our platform brings the best of modern SaaS collaboration to 3D CAD - think SolidWorks meets GitHub meets Google Docs - and is used globally by teams building the next generation of products. We are looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to help scale and operate the global cloud platform behind Onshape's collaborative CAD and data management service. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, building automation, improving reliability and keeping large-scale SaaS systems secure, performant and resilient. You will work closely with a highly technical team in Boston's Seaport District to create a low-touch, highly automated cloud environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, deeply hands-on with Linux and cloud operations, comfortable digging into code and infrastructure, and excited to raise the bar for deployment, monitoring, security and operational excellence across a global SaaS platform. Focus on AWS infrastructure, automation, Linux operations, Kubernetes platforms, security, compliance, and operational excellence. This role is distinct from SRE and is centered on infrastructure and platform operations rather than Java application reliability. Compensation (CIP) PTC carefully considers a wide varietyof factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $118,000 - 190,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.Employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP), which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
