OVERVIEW


As a member of the Global Human Resources Functional Team assigned to a specific location and client group(s), the HR Representative plays an important role in advancing ASR Group's people and organization agenda. This individual brings a high level of energy, professionalism, and execution discipline to support business priorities and deliver high-quality results through both formal and informal influence. Success in this role requires the ability to demonstrate clear value to the business by executing key objectives in close partnership and collaboration with HR and business stakeholders.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Talent Acquisition




  • Partner with stakeholders to execute demand-planning activities that anticipate hiring and capability needs for a defined period of time.






  • Recruit and hire candidates to fill vacancies within targeted cycle-time expectations.






  • Coordinate key elements of the hiring process, including recruitment, phone screens, interviews, background checks, medical physicals, and related steps.






  • Support college recruitment efforts as a member of the ASR Group HR Team.






  • Manage regulatory requirements related to tracking applicant data.




Talent Management




  • Support talent management activities that build enterprise talent, including talent reviews, succession planning, the college intern program, job rotation, high-potential programs, and career development/pathing.






  • Conduct new-hire induction to support a positive employee assimilation experience into the ASR organization.




Employee Engagement




  • Proactively participate in and lead local communication and engagement plans designed to optimize employee engagement and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.






  • Anticipate and proactively address employee issues and concerns; when concerns or grievances arise, address them in a collaborative manner.






  • Partner with union leadership to resolve employee concerns and grievances.






  • Administer HR policies and Collective Bargaining Agreements consistently, as needed.






  • Provide constructive counsel and guidance to employees and supervisors, as needed.






  • Drive employee recognition programs that support a high level of employee morale.






  • Maintain a visible presence with client groups by walking the floor a minimum of one hour per day.




HRIS, HR Operations




  • Proactively ensure compliance with legal, statutory, company policy, and procedural requirements for HR-related processes and programs.






  • Provide education and support to employees regarding benefits.






  • Maintain the internal HRIS and other e-service systems by entering employee-change information, including new hires, changes, terminations, promotions, transfers, and related updates. Update employee files to document personnel actions and provide information for payroll, benefit carriers, and other internal or external stakeholders.






  • Support efforts to ensure a high-quality salary-planning process.






  • Manage personnel files and other HR-related administrative matters in a high-quality, confidential manner.




Learning & Development




  • Analyze, design, develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs that build organizational capability.






  • Manage learning and development data through the Learning Management System (LMS).






  • Understand and support individual development needs and plans.




Other




  • Drive continuous improvement across HR processes.






  • Assist with the coordination of special projects and events, as needed.






  • Participate in community affairs activities, as needed.






  • Perform other duties as required.





Required Experience




  • 3-5 years of high-quality professional Human Resources experience in a Specialist or Generalist role; a combination of both is preferred.






  • Experience managing an HRIS database.






  • High skill level in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.






  • Ability to communicate with a high level of professionalism and presence when speaking to individuals or groups.






  • Experience providing HR support to an industrial/manufacturing or distribution/logistics business is preferred but not required.





EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS




  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required; a major in HR or a related discipline is preferred but not required.






  • Advanced degree desired, but not required.

Salary Range:


$70,000-$99,000
