What you'll do:

The Paint
Production Supervisor position is responsible to provide leadership, direction,
and coordination of the Pre-clean and Paint
departments in a lean manufacturing environment of a
prescribed area. Responsible for safety, quality, and productivity, and
is an active participant in Continuous Improvement, employee involvement
and equal employment opportunity systems

* Trains
or supervises the training of new employees

* Liaison
between departments or groups
*
Communicates and enforces quality standards
* Ensure
quality of materials and workmanship
* Monitor,
report, and correct variation beyond standards in any activity
Materials:
*
Ensure efficient location of materials
* Monitor
scrap for undue waste
* Assist
in quarterly inventory
* Maintain
tool inventory
Continuous
Improvement:
* Engage in continuous improvement projects
as a solutions-oriented team member
* Use Root Cause problem solving techniques to bring resolution
to quality problems and prevent repeat quality issues
* Active
leader and coach to those supervised and constantly strive for improvement in
quality of every activity
* Model
for positive behavior and attitude
* Monitor
and train personnel on safety issues and proper
training in safe operation of equipment
* Coordinate
employee work schedules
* Handle
employee confrontations with respect and consistency
* Enforce all applicable rules and regulations of
the company

What you need to be successful:

HS Diploma or GED required (Bachelor's degree and/or Painting and Refinishing certification preferred)
* Minimum of 5 years automotive/vehicle paint experience
* Proven
leadership skills
* Clean driving record and possess a CDL or be willing to
obtain
* Knowledge
of automatic and manual paint systems
* Basic
troubleshooting of paint non-conformances and familiarity with OSHA and EPA
regulations as they apply to painting processes and waste streams
* Proven ability to plan and handle multiple projects and meet
deadlines
* Strong:
o Communication skills, verbal and written
o Leadership attributes and interpersonal
skills
o Organizational, problem-solving, and analytical
skills
