Surgical Technology Educator, Center for Nursing Education, Days

The Surgical Technology Educator will assess, develop, plan, present and evaluate educational activities within their area of expertise. The educator will work with the guidance of the System Educator/Team Lead for Surgical Services to meet instructor needs for the classroom, simulation lab and clinical settings across a variety of programs and educational initiatives. The educator will provide education in the surgical technology apprentice program along with other learning needs that arise for this service line across the system.

Required:

• Five years of experience as a surgical technologist working in surgery. One year of experience teaching in an academic or clinical setting
• Associate Degree

• Bachelor Degree
• Certified Surgical Technologist OR Certified Instrument Specialist OR Certified Registered Central Service Technician OR Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician
