Job Summary Summary Responsible for operating a shuttle bus and/or passenger coach-type vehicle. Reports to the Supervisor of Transportation (or to a designated individual in the Supervisor's absence). Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Provide safe, courteous, and professional service to passengers while on route to/from destinations. -Follow established routes and departure times. Communicates with dispatch for guidance on any detours/delays. -Operates vehicles in accordance with Mass General Brigham Fleet Safety Program Policies and Procedures, as well as in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. -Ensures adherence to passenger limits for both seated and standing passengers. -Assists passengers with disabilities and others needing assistance in boarding and disembarking from the vehicle via the wheelchair lift. -Reports any emergencies/concerns with the vehicle and/or passengers immediately to the Supervisor and/or Dispatcher. -Safely transports passengers to various destinations while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. -Adheres to assignments in accordance with scheduled shuttle routes prepared by the Manager, Supervisor, and/or Dispatcher. Yes Licenses and Credentials MGH Security RMV Check/Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report - MGB Internal required Experience Proven experience as a shuttle bus driver 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Excellent driving skills for shuttle buses and coach-type vehicles with the ability to navigate various road and weather conditions safely. - Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation. - Great improvisational skills. - Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance procedures. - Excellent customer service skills.
