Custodial Specialist

This position exists to provide a clean and safe environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors at the Peters Recreation Complex.

Recreational Services' mission is to develop, promote and manage the administration of recreational and fitness facilities, services and programs for the campus community at Kansas State University. This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred Education: High School Diploma
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an institutional setting; Experience using commercial cleaning equipment; Stable work history; Knowledge in custodial procedures; Ability to work around a large participant and employee base; Ability to work with pressure of a schedule that requires adapting to a varying routine

Additional Role Information:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
• Ability to operate and control walk-behind and riding scrubbers
• Ability to work around cleaning and floor chemicals
• Ability to transport heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
• Work is generally performed by standing and walking during the shift
