Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Configuration Management Database (CMDB) / Asset Management System (AMS) Administrator is responsible for all CMDB/AMS management operations within the hybrid VPC and global network infrastructure for the customer using the ITIL framework.

Responsibilities:

    You will maintain an accurate and up-to-date CMDB that serves as the authoritative source for all Configuration Items (CIs) and their relationships within the customer enterprise IT environment.
  • The CMDB shall integrate with AMSs (e.g., ILMS, ServiceNow) to ensure consistency between asset records and configuration data.
  • You will ensure bidirectional data synchronization between the CMDB and AMSs, reconcile discrepancies, and support the C/CM process.
  • The CMDB shall track CI attributes, including hardware specifications, software versions, dependencies, ownership, location, and change history.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The following are the education and experience required for this position:

  • 5+ years
  • Bachelor's in IT or related field
  • ServiceNow CSA
  • Secret Security Clearance

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • COMP TIA Sec + Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

  • Sitting for long periods
  • Standing for long periods
  • Ambulate throughout an office
  • Ambulate between several buildings
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
  • Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 40 pounds
  • Travel by land or air transportation 25 % .
