Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Participate and contribute in MOS (Midway Operating Systems) activities as required for Continuous Improvement i.e. Champion Team activities for C.I. in Processes.
- Prepares or directs the preparation of specifications for manufacturing, parameter sheets, material lists.
- Coordinate as required and document homeline tryouts of new tooling, fixtures and machinery.
- Contribute as required Process Engineering expertise to achieve plant performance objectives and LTA Cost Reduction programs.
- Assists in maintaining the department's Engineering documents and records.
- Participate in the development of cost savings programs in materials and processes, VA VE, and other internal programs.
- Authorized to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, and quality system
- Authorized to identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system
- Performs other essential job functions as assigned.
- Utilize proprietary CAD/CAM software to maintain production quality and through-put on CNC Bending and Laser Cutting Systems.
- Develop and implement engineering solutions to resolve through-put, safety, and quality concerns relating to Assembly process that will include Fanuc robotics, hydraulic and pneumatic presses, rivet forming, CNC Bending and Laser Cutting systems, Mig and Resistance welding, and automated nut runners.
- Utilize Rockwell Logix 500, Logix 5000, and Studio 5000 software to troubleshoot equipment downtime, enhance system performance, and drive continuous process improvements across assembly operations and other manufacturing areas as needed.

Education
Bachelors of Engineering (preferred)
