1st Shift Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities:
- Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, & performs preventive maintenance on electrical - Systems of all equipment. - Interprets electrical schematics; read & understand service manuals & bulletins. - Creates basic electrical wiring diagrams and elementaries. - Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, performs mechanical preventive maintenance - On all plant equipment and machinery. - Metal fabrication (sheet and structural). - Shielded metal-arc welding. - Interprets detailed written instructions and procedures. - Prepares inventory lists, maintenance notes and other written information. - Oxy / acetylene cutting. - Interpret mechanical drawings. - Wood fabrication, supply personal handtools, communicate by telephone, - Understand basic math (ratios, fractions, circles), understand metric measurements - (length); must be able to pass minimum job-related knowledge tests. - Must be able to understand and comply with company and plant policies and - Procedures, such as safety, s.o.p., s.e.p., etc. Which are all written in english. - Keep work area clean and organized throughout the shift in accordance with 5s standards and - Complete position requirements training for job code 690230. - Installs and repairs lawn sprinklers. - Digs holes, shovels dirt. - Mixes and pours concrete, grout. - Installs and repairs gypsum board walls. - Paints (brush, roller, spray can, spray gun) - Replaces lamps at ceiling height (upto 36 feet) - Minor building repairs. - Communicate with supervisor when non-conforming product. - Stops production to correct quality problems. - Environmental aspect and impact awareness. Report any inconsistency or nonconformance on the product and participate in the corrective/preventive actions process

Qualifications: - High School Diploma - 3+ years experience making electrical repairs and installations in an industrial or plant setting - Experience reading electrical drawings - Understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations - Experience working on high and low voltage electric systems - Ability to follow safety guidelines - Ability to work off-shift
