About Lakewood Regional Support Our regional support center provides resources to our hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry and Communications. What We're Looking For: A dependable and detail-oriented Engineer III who will support the property's maintenance operations by performing general repairs and upkeep throughout the hotel. In this hands-on role, you'll respond to maintenance requests in guest rooms, public spaces, meeting areas, and back-of-house locations, while assisting senior engineers and ensuring building systems operate safely and efficiently. What You'll Do:
Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the hotel, ensuring timely completion and adherence to standards. Respond promptly to maintenance requests in guest rooms, public spaces, meeting rooms, and back of house areas. Assist senior engineers with repairs, inspections, and system monitoring. Replace light bulbs and maintain proper inventory of supplies and tools. Monitor and maintain building systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. Support minor setups for hotel functions and events as needed. Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure the engineering shop meets safety standards. Follow proper hotel procedures when repairing occupied guest rooms or public areas. Complete daily assignments and update supervisors on maintenance request status. Assist with floor and room inspections to confirm system performance. Respond to emergencies promptly and in accordance with established procedures. Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities to reduce waste. Comply with all safety regulations, hotel policies, and environmental standards. Regular attendance in conformance with standards Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings Perform other duties as assigned
Your Experience Includes:
Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred. Basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing knowledge required. Strong mechanical background with minimal 1-2 years' hands on experience in maintenance related activity. Valid Florida Driver License preferred. Ability to regularly push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally with team members, leaders and guests required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
