B&G Manufacturing is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our Houston facility. In this role, you will safely set up and operate manual production machinery, inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met, and help maintain an organized and efficient manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has machining experience, can read blueprints, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate manual production machinery.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and part drawings.
  • Follow work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
  • Verify quality requirements, quantities, and production standards are met.
  • Remove and stage raw materials using forklifts or other company-provided equipment.
  • Record daily production and maintain accurate paperwork and timekeeping records.
  • Print material labels and stock finished products.
  • Record usage of tooling and consumable supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain machine fluid levels.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment including:
    • Micrometers
    • Vernier calipers
    • Go/No-Go gauges
  • Ability to perform first article and in-process inspections.
  • Basic computer skills for production reporting.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred (training may be provided if needed).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance and a positive team attitude.
Physical Requirements
  • Work in a manufacturing environment requiring appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Lift, move, and position materials weighing up to 70 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to safely operate industrial equipment.
