Aquent is partnering with a major healthcare client to source a hands-on, mid-level Communications Operations Manager for a temporary opportunity. In this central, highly visible role, you will be responsible for bringing structure to complexity, enabling team members to perform their best work, and driving operational excellence across a range of internal communications activities.

The ideal candidate will keep the team connected, organized, and running efficiently by optimizing workflows, managing event logistics, and establishing clear operational systems.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Drive Team Operations: Coordinate day-to-day activities for a team of seven Communications Business Partners, ensuring priorities, project timelines, and deliverables remain on track.
  • Lead Event & Engagement Logistics: Plan and execute logistics for internal engagement initiatives (e.g., town halls, leader office hours, coffee chats, and functional events) in close partnership with administrative and events teams.
  • Manage Calendars & Milestones: Maintain and optimize core team calendars, aligning key leadership engagements, communications moments, and project milestones while proactively resolving scheduling conflicts.
  • Oversee Channels & Intake: Manage shared mailboxes and communication channels, triaging incoming requests, providing timely responses, and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Establish & Scale Workflows: Create, update, and standardize SOPs, templates, and documentation. Build and maintain team knowledge management norms, structuring shared drives for easy access and up-to-date info.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with communications colleagues, administrative staff, event management, and operational teams across the organization to ensure seamless execution.
  • Optimize Operational Processes: Continuously identify opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate friction, and enhance overall team productivity.


Qualifications & Requirements:



  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in corporate operations, creative operations, program coordination, or administrative support roles. Experience supporting internal communications or marketing teams is highly desirable.
  • Education & Skills: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. Strong ability to manage complex, multi-track projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Gmail) and experienced with modern work management and project tracking platforms (e.g., Monday.com).
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal capabilities to build relationships across diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Mindset: Meticulous attention to detail combined with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with basic graphic design principles or visual tools is a plus.


The target hiring compensation range for this role is $47.15 to $52.39 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
