Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate to support daily dock operations by receiving, inspecting, staging, and moving materials throughout a manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for processing incoming shipments, verifying documentation, supporting inventory flow, and assisting with outbound shipping activities. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and experienced in warehouse or receiving operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Receive, unload, unpack, and stage incoming materials for inspection and processing.
  • Verify incoming shipments against packing lists, purchase orders, and shipping documentation.
  • Identify damaged, missing, or incorrect materials and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Apply receiving labels and route materials to the appropriate inspection, stockroom, or production area.
  • Transport materials between receiving, inspection, stockroom, and production departments.
  • Prepare materials for work order processing and internal distribution.
  • Assist with return material authorizations (RMA) and return-to-vendor (RTV) processes as assigned.
  • Support outbound shipment staging and shipping activities.
  • Maintain accurate material flow and inventory organization.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following 5S principles.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or dock experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience receiving, verifying, and processing incoming materials.
  • Ability to read packing slips, shipping documents, and inventory records accurately.
  • Experience handling materials in a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
  • Experience supporting inventory control, MRO operations, or receiving inspection is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds and stand or walk for the majority of the workday.


Education



  • High school diploma or GED required.


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, dock operations, or material handling required.
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or aerospace environments is preferred.
  • Experience supporting MRO inventory, receiving inspection, or inventory control is a plus.
