Job Description

The Community Liaison plays an integral role in growing Elwyn's presence by positioning Elwyn as the provider of choice across the North Carolina service area, beginning with Wake County. The Community Liaison establishes & nurtures relationships with community partners to strengthen collaboration and referral activities that result in an excess of budgeted admissions that support Elwyn's strategic plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for census development and growth of Elwyn's North Carolina Adult Behavioral Health community programs.
  • Develop and maintain referral networks with community organizations, healthcare providers, payers, and other relevant groups to foster reciprocal referral relationships.
  • Daily activities include local travel to conduct face-to-face meetings, Development and facilitation of lunch & learns, delivering presentations, planning and attending provider meetings, etc. to educate on and promote Elwyn's community programs.
  • Collaborate with Elwyn's North Carolina programs and Elwyn's Admission & Business Development teams to develop a marketing plan that supports our strategic goals & objectives.
  • Utilizes tools to track and report performance metrics, competitive analyses, admissions growth, and market research.
  • Prospect for growth opportunities outside of Wake County by expanding Elwyn's reach to Durham, Orange, Mecklenburg Counties and beyond.
  • Develop a referral source database, along with community contacts, to assist with marketing and admissions to the programs.
  • Identifies trends, both positive and negative, that impact marketing and admissions and shares this feedback along with recommended solutions to the leaders within impacted programs to ensure continuous growth of service offerings and sustainability in all program areas.
  • Serves as a steward and key promoter of the organizationally approved Elwyn brand to ensure consistency in message delivery of print and web collateral.
  • Maintains membership in community organizations, committees, advocacy groups and regularly attends meetings to establish Elwyn's presence in the community.
  • Attends community events and conferences, both locally and across the region, to increase Elwyn's presence and to position Elwyn as an industry leader.
  • Ongoing collaboration with the Regional Admission Coordinator to monitor referrals to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Demonstrates the corporate Core Values and Mission and culture in daily work.
  • Monitors changes in competitive practices, rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related fields; in lieu of undergraduate degree, equivalent years of directly related experience may be considered in addition to required experience below.
  • Two (2) years' experience in behavioral health marketing. Experience in external marketing preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation. Daily travel expectations within assigned territory.
  • Experience with clinical service program operation and service delivery knowledge to those with behavioral health and intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience in not-for-profit business.
  • Affiliations with service and industry associations.
  • Demonstrated exceptional skills in customer interaction, collaboration, verbal communication, and developing and facilitating presentations; demonstrated strong written communication skills.
  • Known for setting and achieving aggressive goals.
  • Skill for tracking and reporting goals and results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to develop solutions managing multiple constituencies and points of view.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with little or no need for direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actions.
  • Demonstrated intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Must have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record.
