Security Officer Full Time Patrol Unit

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Unit in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer in a premier retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience through strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $26.88 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail setting.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, common areas, entrances, exits, and exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor movement, and high-traffic areas to help support loss prevention efforts, crowd management, and orderly operations during business hours and special events.
• Assist with reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations observed during patrols, and help support emergency procedures such as evacuations and/or medical responses when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
